Tooth & Nail aus Leeds, England veröffentlichen heute ihre Debütsingle “Cryin’ For You”. Der melancholische Garage-Blues Song verbindet souligen Gesang mit rockigen Hooks.
“Cryin’ For You” ist die erste von drei Single-Veröffentlichungen, die für 2017 geplant sind. Die nächsten Singles kommen im Mai und Oktober.
Gegründet wurden Tooth & Nail 2006 als Sänger und Gitarrist Daniel Pearson (der bereits drei beachtete Alben als Singer/Songwriter hinter sich hat) sich mit Metal-Fan und Schlagzeuger Mike Neilson zusammen tat.
Ihre Musik verbindet abenteurlichen Rock ‘n’ Roll mit Vintage-Soul und 90er Jahre Grunge. “It’s one of life’s truths that love hurts, and that’s what Cryin’ For You is all about,” sagt Pearson über ihre neue Single “Cryin’ For You”. Und fügt hinzu:
“I love a lot of old blues & soul records when you can really hear the pain and experience in the voices, and that’s what we were aiming for here – as well as laying down some big riffs and grungy fuzz. That’s pretty much the mission statement of Tooth & Nail – soul songs played loud and heavy.”
