Die australische Singer/Songwriterin und Produzentin Elle Graham alias Woodes veröffentlicht heute ihre langerwartete, gleichnamige Debüt EP.

Insgesamt sechs Tracks sind auf der EP, drei davon (drei Songs (“Daggers & Knives” – ihre Debütsingle sowie “The Thaw” und “Rise”) waren bereits vorab zu hören. Die EP kombiniert Woodes’ Liebe zu elektronischen Sounds mit mutigen Texturen, die harmonische Soundlandschaften erzeugen, welche gut mit Woodes’ Stimme harmonieren.

Woodes hat gemeinsam mit Künstlern wie etwa LANKS, Simon Lam vom australischen Duo Kllo, Golden Vessels, Elkkle sowie dem grammy-nominierten Produzenten Rob Kleiner gearbeitet, der auch schon Songs für Sia und The Weekend schrieb.

“I’ve been working on these 6 songs over the last couple years. They’ve all transformed as I’ve learned more production and have been writing with more people in both Melbourne and overseas. Some of them formed quite quickly and others have been with me from the start. There’s a little journey attached I’ve noticed, the theme became apparent as I made the final song selection and lined them all in a row. This release starts with Woodes emerging from the water, and ends with her returning to it. It felt fitting to self-title this release, as it’s the first chapter of many for Woodes.”
