Ein neues Album ist in der Mache. Es wird das Nachfolgealbum zu seinem zweiten Album „7 Layers“ von 2014 (in Deutschland 2015).

Anfang des Monats spielte Dotan drei komplett ausverkaufte Akustik-Shows in Köln, Hamburg und Berlin und bezauberte dort das Publikum. Im Frühjahr kommt er nochmal für nur ein einziges Konzert nach Deutschland.

Leider muss die Show abgesagt werden. Bereits gekaufte Tickets können an den jeweiligen VVK-Stellen zurückgegeben werden. Hier das Statement von Dotan:
With pain in my heart I’ve had to cancel all of my shows for the coming months. As much as I was looking forward to finally getting back on stage, I am simply not ready to play new music right now. Working on new material is taking a lot longer than I ever expected and I really want my next release to be a very special one. I have to put all of my time and energy into finishing the new album right now and I really want it to be something very special. I can’t explain how incredible lucky I feel to have such loyal fans. You definitely deserve the best I can possibly give. I hope you can bear with me for a bit longer and I promise it will be worth the wait! More news soon about new music and upcoming shows.

Es gibt mittlerweile auch Meldungen über Fake-Accounts in mehreren sozialen Netzwerken von angeblichen Fans, die Dotans öffentliches Profil aufbessern sollten. Dotan selbst hat dies in einem Interview mit De Volkskrant, die darüber berichtet haben (www.volkskrant.nl/muziek/fanatieke-nepfans-poetsten-op-facebook-en-twitter-imago-van-zanger-dotan-op~a4592582/), bestritten.
